I am strongly against this. I am very concerned about the health and safety issues. I am also concerned because this will devalue our property. We chose to live here because of the beautiful countryside, this will  be an eyesore.

Creek easement running through Hourigan drive

This area has a creek with platypus living in it. Also other wildlife including echidnas and kangaroos. There is a diverse range of heathland plants here, including native orchids, epacaris, and other rare plnts native to this area.

This must be underground as there is a wide range of biodiversity including koalas and platypus in this area and will be a visible eyesore to the residents living here. Most other countries put high voltage wires underground. These proposed large towers will be unsightly and not good for the wildlife and residents living in this area

The current proposed route passes through the heart of the Danger Area of Rosedale Rifle Range. Overhead transmission lines are incompatible with this facility and would likely jeopardise the future of the Rifle Club. It will meet with fierce opposition from not only local Rifle Club members but from frequent event visitors from all around the State and inter-state. Rifle ranges are nigh on impossible to relocate nowadays because of strict planning requirements, so either re-routing of the transmission line or going underground are likely the only way the rifle range can continue.

The line should run to the north side of Loyang and follow the existing easement all the way to the old Hazelwood Power Station

This beautiful park, close to Sale and Rosedale communities is regularly used by Horse Riders and Bush walkers. To decimate the habitat and create an ugly landscape when there are easier options, is a tragedy.

This is a beautiful park recently impacted by bush fire. Overhead power lines are a huge risk for to the park when we get a bush fire. If the line is to through the park, it needs to go underground. The vegetation loss would be devastating to the flora and fauna

We have a koala colony that reside on the trees on the nature strip and on our property.

We have a colony of koala's that reside in trees on our property and also in our neighbours property.

We have koalas in many of the properties in our area.  Removal of their natural habitat will impact these koalas.

A massive eyesore for us, devaluating my property.

Please place these powerlines underground. Here we are trying to help climate change and this company hasn’t done a study oofemissions it will take to make steel to make this eyesore. Also I feel for landowners living near these powerlines. No health concern or environmental concern. Also who owns ausnet? The same guy who owns shares in loy Yang and is trying to close coal?

Why would you not consider pooling resources with Star of the South. Head South and link up with their underground cables  . Got to be a lot cheaper than a long length of above ground towers and would be minimal impact on the environment, landowners and no fire risk at the longford pine plantations and Holey Plains State Park.

Star of the Southare following an existing corridor to the North of this property but are going underground This will have zero impact on the area. Perhaps you could work with them and laying your cable at the same time could result in significant cost savings

I have made clear to Ausnet this is my property and want no part in this project. I request to have my property removed from the proposal as soon as possible.

Head south a few kms and join up with star of the south underground transmission line. You suggest on your website you want to minimise impact on landowners, cutural sites and landowners. This is your solution to the problem.

It will destroy the visual amenity by pacing a tower so close to our residence

No one will want to camp anywhere near high voltage power lines

This is farming land with many residences in the area and we do not want to look out our windows to 80m towers.  Apart from the visual aspect, it will devalue our properties.  Like many others, we support renewables, but there will not support for the overhead transmission lines in our area.

Overhead transmission lines will not be accepted by this community. There is support for renewables, but no support for this method of transfer. The lines need to go underground, it is best practice. The long term cost to this community will be irreparable, financially, environmentally and emotionally. Our primary producers need to be supported and protected by best practices.

It is not best practice to place transmission lines overhead. Bushfire risk, making insurance difficult. Impact on farming practices is significant, with a large cost to our primary producers. There is evidence that lines can, and should be undergrounded with less impact on our environment and property values.

We have koala populations in this area that will be impacted by vegetation removal

this area of bush is one of the only parts of the Holey Plqains and adjoining areas that was not affected byu the recent Holey Plains fire. It is home to endangered species of superb lyrebirds and powerful owls, both of which I have observed in this specific area adjoining the south side of my property.

The proposed site crosses over the designated Range Danger Area for the Rosedale Rifle Range, which will impact the ability of the club to conduct shooting meets.

The Rosedale Rifle Range (RR) is one of only four bigbore rifle ranges in Gippsland and the only Gippsland RR that has shooting back to 1000 yards, a Commonwealth Games shooting distance.  Rosedale RR is part of the Gippsland DRA and is used for administration meetings, pennant (teams) matches and Championship events.  The Club is one of the larger clubs in Victoria and attacks shooters from all over the state to their annual two day prize meeting.  The club also attacks shooters from other parts of the State to their monthly Sunday shoot at 1000 yards as it is one of the few Victorian ranges that has shooting back to 1000 yards.  Overhead transmission line cannot be permitted to traverse the danger area.  Underground transmission line may be acceptable through the danger area, subject to agreement with the club.

The proposed transmission line crosses the Rosedale Rifle Range Danger Area and only about 300 metres from the Stop Butt.  The Danger Area is an area beyond the targets and Stop Butt that access is restricted to protect people from the small chance that a projectile is not caught by the Stop Butt.  Steel structures would not be permitted in the danger area.  Overhead transmission line may be at risk of being struck by a wayward projectile.  An underground transmission line may not impact on the danger area, and may only have limited impact on the sporting club.

Hi, the RAAF use this area for low flying (down to 250ft) training. The low flying area extends from the Seaspray Rd to Rosedale, right through your proposed zone. Please consult with RAAF Base East Sale.

There are farm houses about here that do not want to be near overhead transmission lines. Put the line underground.

This private land is of high quality native old growth vegetation.

An overhead transmission line would be an unacceptable visual intrusion to us.  We support renewable energy, but will not accept an overhead transmission line in this area.  If AusNet make the decision to put the line underground, as other projects are doing, we are prepared to talk about access.  We do not want to be looking at four to six 80m high transmission tower in our view of the mountains.

An 80 m wide easement would remove twice as much of a stock protection planation as an underground transmission line.  The proposed route will remove the only paddock tree providing shade in that 4 ha paddock.  An underground transmission line would not have the same level of adverse impact.

I am concerned about the proximity of the preferred route, to the Hazelwood North Primary School. With the development of the Lead Smelter nearby, it seems that the health and well being of our children is of little concern to the powers that be. There has been some heavy investment in the development of the school in recent times, so it is unlikely that there will never be an option to relocate the school itself. I have no doubt that as a non-science orientated Grandparent, you could bedazzle me with explanations of how the grez will have no negative impact on the health of the children, but you have given me the opportunity to note my concerns.

This is the previous location of Powerful Owls. But the area was burnt approx 3 years ago and the owls appear to have moved to site closer to Rosedale (Rosedale Stradbroke Road). western side of Holey Plains State Park

There are already big power lines running through this area behind my parents house, they don’t need more out the front ruining the farmland and outlook

I’m disappointed to have learnt about this via a shared Facebook link given the proximity to our home. I need to know the possible health impacts of  above ground power lines o scale   For residential properties nearby. Their text box doesn’t work properly and i limits responsf . Also disappointing.

We appose the current route. We are about to start construction of our permanent family home within 100m of your proposed route. After years of designs and council applications we finally have approval to go ahead. Our home is designed around the beautiful north facing views that we currently have. We do not want our children exposed to the possible health effects of being permanently close to these lines, not to mention having to look at them ditectly out our loungeroom window every day.

The design of this line shows this almost going directly over my home.
